John Johnston is responsible for digital marketing for Volvo Construction Equipment Americas (including North and South America). As the director of digital marketing, he works with Volvo CE employees, dealers, agencies and customers to integrate online and offline marketing activities. Johnston's primary focus is to lead online content and design, coordinate email and social marketing efforts, develop e-commerce marketing activities, manage lead and opportunity utilization, define marketing requirements for new technologies and more.

In addition to his North American responsibilities, Johnston has served on several global Volvo Group communications, marketing and online steering committees. He also participates on several AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers) activities and committees.

As an online advocate, Johnston explores the latest technologies and reviews the most effective ways to implement within various marketing campaigns.
