Gabriela Acatrinei is a Digital Marketing Manager at Scholastic Inc., the world's largest publisher of children's books. She joined the New York digital team in 2007 where she served several roles and worked with agencies to support the launch of new products like The Hunger Games, 39 Clues, Wonderstruck, and programs like the Scholastic Summer Challenge and ThisIsTeen, across marketing channels and B2B/B2C segments.

Acatrinei's 8+ years of experience in the digital marketing space, as well as her culture of curiosity, have equipped her with the knowledge needed to launch a social advertising service catering to 11+ internal business units and a media buying service in 2010, and to successfully align marketing strategies to business objectives.

Acatrinei began her career as a copywriter at an advertising agency in Romania. Her early exchanges with Jane Maas, one of New York's original "Mad Women" of the 1960s, helped Gabriela build a solid foundation in strategic marketing and inspired her to become a Mad Woman of her own time.
